Position Summary:
The position will develop and maintain quality systems through hands-on work, management of a quality team, and cross-functional leadership. Scope of responsibility includes product quality, supplier quality, customer quality, and quality systems. This person will be a thought leader, problem solver and enhance and maintain a culture of quality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive quality best practices across the organization including processes, data systems, and statistics
- Ensure quality processes are documented, up to date, and following best practices
- Efficiently and effectively identify and resolve vendor, product, and customer quality issues
- Report to peers and upper management on quality performance and open items
- Work with supply chain team to manage supplier quality and associated processes
- Work with sales and product teams to manage product specifications and associated QA/QC processes
Requirements:
- BS, or similar with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness and ability to tackle new challenges
- Technical background in quality systems, data analysis methods, and statistics
- Attention to detail and expertise in documenting and maintaining information and knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally to drive actions to closure
- High standards in ethics, safety, work ethic, teamwork, and work execution
Ideal candidate will also have:
- Experience in quality aspects of glass, electronics, the construction industry, and related supply chains
- Demonstrated success in managing quality systems in a relevant industry
- Project management experience
- Expertise in Tableau, SQL databases, JMP, and PLM software
