Position Summary:

We are seeking a very talented Senior Engineer to join our Front-end Process Development team and lead wet coating process development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead development of wet coating processes, using techniques such as slot die, dip, and spray coating
• Lead optimization of drying process
• Drive development of coating formulations
• Work with chemistry team to develop materials for coating process

Skills and Experience:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience with solution processing of thin films on glass
• Deep knowledge of coating and drying physics
• Process development and optimization experience, formal SPC training desired

Ideal candidate will also have:

• Large area glass processing with electronic devices (e.g. thin film solar, flat panel displays, electrochromics)
• Experience scaling up process from R&D to pilot and/or manufacturing
• Solvent formulation modeling experience
• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Ability to demonstrate adaptability, effectiveness and growth in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and creatively solve problems.
• Ability to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
