Position Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Electromechanical Technician to assemble, test, and maintain custom tools used to produce our innovative energy-efficient building products. The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of working in a fast paced, start-up environment with a top notch team of scientists and engineers. This full time position will be located initially in South San Francisco, CA and will transition to Hayward, CA in July.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assembly, test, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment per engineering drawings or verbal instructions, including:
• Cable assemblies
• PC Board assemblies
• Laboratory automation systems
• Liquid handling systems
• Custom laboratory and test equipment
• Third party laboratory equipment
• Maintain engineering lab and inventory, shop equipment, and laboratory equipment.
• Maintain and repair custom and production glass handling and processing equipment

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, with an AA/AS degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly and test
• Ability to use basic and advanced electronic measurement tools, including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Ability to use common machine shop tools – mills, lathes, presses, grinders, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Good manual dexterity and soldering skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly drawings
• Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
