Position Summary:
This position is an opportunity to join a growing team, build a new web-based factory information system, to be exposed to full stack development, and contribute towards the creation of dynamic glass and home integration.
The informatics team is building a new n-tier stack for the Pilot Line based on .NET and javascript technologies – MS SQL Server, ASP.NET web API and ASP.NET MVC / javascript web applications. The successful candidate will initially focus on creating the UI and middle tier and, by working closely with the Scientists, Engineers and Operators who will use their tools they will deliver custom applications to optimize their access with the backbone MSSQL Server databases. These applications will range from simple data entry portals and data harvesting applications, to more complex monitoring and reporting tools. In addition to UI development, there will be opportunities to develop data processing and data reduction algorithms to aid back-end data processing and visualization.
Skills and Experience:
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years of post-graduate experience
- Experience with C# and .NET is essential and experience with the following will be favored:
- .NET web applications (ASP.NET MVC) and web services (ASP.NET Web API)
- Javascript, including knowledge of one or more JS frameworks such as JQuery, Node.js, ExtJs, Backbone, Angular and packages such as Kendo UI
- Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework, LINQ
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g. solar cell, semiconductor, biomedical devices)
- Project management skills are a plus
