Senior Accountant

Job Duties:

  • Hands-on oversight of the consolidations process which includes but is not limited to preparing complex journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and providing variance comments for balance sheet and income statement accounts for both the US and Taiwan entities
  • Reconciling global intercompany transactions on a monthly basis
  • Continually seeking ways to improve financial analyses and consolidation reporting
  • Working closely domestic and international business unit Finance Managers
  • Ensuring the appropriate and consistent application of GAAP and related technical accounting pronouncements
  • Review, translate in accordance with FAS 52, consolidate international subsidiary financial statements and prepare (have general knowledge/familiarity with) guarantors’ financial statements disclosures
  • Reconcile changes in the cumulative translation adjustment account
  • Perform advanced balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain deferred rent and debt workbook
  • Perform month end close, allocations and inter department cross charges
  • Prepare audit schedules and year end audit
  • Provides support to all other teams across the company as needs arise, including special projects, system improvements or ad-hoc financial analyses as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • CPA or a CPA candidate with minimum 5 years of experience required
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting and financial principles.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills combined with experience working with outside consultants in a positive and collaborative fashion.
  • Fast learner with ability to deal with technical and business issues
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to work independently
  • Must have strong Excel skills
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills.
  • Good energy, enthusiastic, goal driven. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people in diverse and different settings.
