Production Chemist

Position Summary:

Kinestral Technologies is seeking a motivated Production Chemist to support a top-notch team of
scientists and engineers in creating next-generation dynamic glass. The primary responsibility of the
position will be to oversee batch formulation production. This position will be located in Hayward,

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing chemical production including operator training and scheduling and maintaining
    reactor systems
  • Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other documentation
    associated with production
  • Developing data acquisition tools, tracking data collection into the production database
  • Analyzing results and monitoring KPI’s on a batch to batch basis.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and complete batch record and laboratory notebook
  • Managing raw materials to meet supply and quality demands
  • Maintaining the chemistry laboratory and production workspaces in a neat and organized state


  • Education: BS/MS in Chemistry or Chemistry-related discipline (e.g. Organic/Inorganic
    Chemistry, ChemE, Materials Science, Polymer Science, etc.)
  • Experience: 5 years or more preferred in chemical processing/production
  • Familiarity with Labview or other HMI data collection systems
  • Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques including UV-Vis, FT-IR, TGA, NMR, XRD,
    KF, Rheology
  • A commitment to laboratory safety

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Broad experience with chemical production (polymers, molecular and solid precursors, coating
    formulations, etc.) for commercial products.
